Why do I inline Google gadgets ?

Some of the users had concerns about the warning that shows up when they try to add my Activity Tracker or To-do list gadget. So this blog is to explain why you should not be worried about adding my gadgets..

To-Do List Inline Module Warning

Inline gadgets allow users to save more than 2K of preferences. So gadgets like Activity tracker and To-do list that needs more storage space to save logs and tasks respectively can use this to their advantage. Also I found that if inline modules are placed in seperate igoogle tabs, gadget users can store more than 600 tasks in the to-do list gadget.. that’s pretty impressive.. huh

I just want to assure you again that my Gadgets DONOT modify your homepage nor hamper operations of any other module. The beauty of this gadget is that all your preferences and data is stored in the Google servers as Google preferences and none is stored on my server. So you can safely click “OK” to trust the module.

THanks for taking the time to explain about inline. I was hesitant to use your gadget until reading what it meant. Do you list your version updates so I can see when new features are added and when?

Hi. Great gadget. I have used it quite a while on and off…

I see your activity-tracker as a strong tool as a light frontend interface into a more heavy project management system.

Is it possible to get the hands on your code? I would like to alter it so it can talk with a mysql table in the redmine project management application.

tasks exist in the Redmine and your action tracker can read and list them. Then everytime time is “tracked” it can be written into the “log time” table in the redmine with the comment that your system provide. It would be perfect for us!

you can have the code back if we can create anything usefull from it and maybe share it from your side as a Redmine tracker?…
