Its been a long time since I released a new version for the Countdown/Countup gadget.
Here are some new features that I added to the gadget today. To view them, just click on edit settings
- New display formats: The new display formats can be changed by clicking on Google settings.
- Display in years-months-days- hours-minutes
- Display in months-days-hours-minutes
- Display in days-hours-minutes
- If the countdown is lesser than 1 day, the display format changes to hours-minutes
- Display in months only
- If the countdown is lesser than 1 month, the display format changes to days-hours-minutes.
- Alert: You can enable alerts by going to edit settings. You will be alerted 5 minutes before the event is about to occur. Please ensure that your browser is enabled to hear the alert. Visit Test Voice to verify compatibility.
And in case you forgot, you can share your events with friends and family by sending them your “data key”. Read more about the data key feature and how to share your events with family

I like your countup/down gadget. It would be even nicer if it came without the bright red “new stuff” line that doesn’t take you to a download site that works and that you can’t get rid of. Other than that I really like it; thanks.
