Activity Tracker For Small Business - Employee and Employers

Employers / Managers and Small Business Owners 

I have outlined the steps below on how to setup Activity Tracker Plus for each employee or consultant time tracking

  1. Click on Setup Instructions to start using Activity Tracker Plus . You can create a separate Google account just for this purpose. Employees will not be able to access the spreadsheet that you create as per the instructions.
  2. Specify the name of the employee or consultant as the spreadsheet name. Employer needs to create a new spreadsheet via the instruction page for each employee.
  3.  Once you click on verify, you will be presented with a grant access screen and once you grant access, you shoud be presented with a welcome screen on how to use Activity Tracker Plus.
  4. In this welcome screen, click on  “I’m an employer and would like my employee or consultant to get started on Activity Tracker Plus” and follow the instructions on what to send to your employee. Please note that even though, your employee sees this welcome screen, he/she has absolutely no access to the spreadsheet that you created.
  5. To monitor the activities that your employee is working on, you can use one of the following
    1. Activity Tracker Plus  - This is exactly the same client that your employee will be using. You will be allowed to edit activities. You need to follow the same instruction that your employee will follow to set up Activity Tracker Plus. Just click on the link “I’m an employee or consultant and I was asked by by my employer to visit this page. What should I do now ?” in the welcome screen to start monitoring your employee’s activities.
    2. Activity Tracker Plus Social - This is the read only client for Activity Tracker Plus. You will be able to see what your employee is working on, but you will NOT be able to edit the activity. In the same welcome screen, click on “I’m an employer and want to view my employee’s activities using Activity Tracker Plus Social “.
  6. You can follow the same steps for each and every employee. You can then have a dashboard of all your employee activities on your iGoogle page as shown in the image below.
