Before I begin, I want to let you know that I tested all my gadgets particularly to prevent data loss and any data loss problems have always turned out to be a temporary network issue. So if you think you lost data I recommend you to follow these steps.
Incase you forgot to manually backup some important data, DO NOT remove your gadget from iGoogle page - this can permanently delete your recent data.
If you deleted your gadget by mistake, click “Undo” link (near Google search box) immediately. This will get your gadget and its data back. If you are still not able to get your gadget back (probably due to browser caching issues), open a new browser window and go to your iGoogle page. Click Shift + refresh.
Shoot me an email (screeperzone+issues@gmail.com). I will try my best to get your data back.
Check Google Gadget API groups for help. There are professional gadget developers out there who can help you.
Don’t panic. Wait for few minutes and then open iGoogle in different browser window and click Shift+refresh.
I am currently compiling all the issues that users emailed me about and the solutions that worked. Most of the issues were due to temporary network problems and almost everyone got their data back.
Most common issues faced by Google Partner page users (not iGoogle users)

Inline gadgets don’t work on Partner page. It only works on iGoogle page. Check this post . I have explained why I use inline gadgets in detail in this post.

Many had been requesting some kind of a feature to backup data from Activity Tracker, Todo List and My Moments gadgets. I did some research and found out that Google provides such a feature to backup, import or export the data.
I will provide you with instructions on how to do just that. This information relates to the following iGoogle gadgets that you may be using.
In your IGoogle homepage that hosts ScreeperZone gadgets, click on the small arrow provided on the tab and select “Edit this tab”
Now scroll down to the bottom of the page and you should see a section called “Troubleshooting” and another section called “Export / Import”
If you just wish to backup the gadgets, then click on “Backup”. The backup is saved in Google servers and you can recover the gadgets later by clicking on “Restore Now”. Unfortunately it saves only one snapshot of your Google settings. If you would like to save data at different times, then you will have to export your settings at different intervals. The next point discusses this.
If you wish to Export the data into a file and later restore it back from the file, then click on “Export” and save the file iGoogle-settings.xml locally. You can later restore your settings and data by uploading this file. To upload, click on “Browse” and select the file. You can then click on “Upload” to upload the settings.

Some of the users had concerns about the warning that shows up when they try to add my Activity Tracker or To-do list gadget. So this blog is to explain why you should not be worried about adding my gadgets..
Inline gadgets allow users to save more than 2K of preferences. So gadgets like Activity tracker and To-do list that needs more storage space to save logs and tasks respectively can use this to their advantage. Also I found that if inline modules are placed in seperate igoogle tabs, gadget users can store more than 600 tasks in the to-do list gadget.. that’s pretty impressive.. huh
I just want to assure you again that my Gadgets DONOT modify your homepage nor hamper operations of any other module. The beauty of this gadget is that all your preferences and data is stored in the Google servers as Google preferences and none is stored on my server. So you can safely click “OK” to trust the module.
